Community Players announces Summer 2012 Production!
Planning is underway for our summer production of "The Sound of Music!"
Heather Simonson will be directing the show. Dave Turk and Will Buros are acting as co-producers. The rest of the production team is being assembled.
Show dates will be July 27-29 and August 2-4. Auditions will be held in May with rehearsals to start in June.
If you are interested in being a part of the team, please contact Community Players. We are especially looking for help with costumes at this time.

"The Adventures of Santa Claus" was a success!
Thanks to all who helped make our winter show a success! Over 500 food items were collected at the door for the Richland Community Food Pantry. Proceeds from the show were divided between the Food Pantry, the local Salvation Army chapter and the Richland County Performing Arts Council.
Special thanks to Will Buros and all those who put in the time and energy to make the show a reality
CP Makes donation to Corey Bobb Memorial Scholarship Fund
The Community Players board voted to donate $1000 from the proceeds of last summer's show "Annie" to the Corey Bobb Memorial Scholarship Fund. This $500 scholarship is awarded annually to a student pursuing their education in a field related to theatre and the performing arts.
Be watching soon for details on the 2012 fundraiser for the Corey Bobb Memorial Scholarship Fund as well as information about how to apply for the scholarship.
CP Alumnus Announces Blog
Mike Dalberg, currently studying theatre at UW-Parkside, has launched a new blog so that we can follow his progress. One of his original works has been selected for production this spring at Parkside. On his blog, Mike gives details of the coming show and shares other bits of his original works and continuing projects. Mike was the recipient of the 2011 Corey Bobb Memorial Scholarship awarded by Community players. We congratulate him on his continuing achievements!

If so, the Veterans Memorial Building Committee and Community Players want to help you share it! The 4th annual Talent Showcase to raise money for the Veterans Memorial will be held on February 18, 2012 at 7:00pm. The deadline for applications for the show is January 15, 2012.
