“The more you know, the more you know….”
Community Players members need to know that the organization is not only alive and well at production time, but also is active every month of the year so, we have produced this newsletter to help keep all members aware and involved.
We are announcing “Peter Pan the Musical” with the approval of the Richland School District which will be presented as the summer production. Keep eyes and ears open for audition dates. We may even have another Thursday production show night! The performance dates will be the last weekend in July and the first weekend in August. With special rigging for this production there will be a need for an enthusiastic and committed stage crew!
Community Players now has Quick Books for accounting software. There is a need for a dedicated computer system for this so if anyone has or knows someone who has a laptop that could be donated or we could purchase for a reasonable amount please contact one of the Board members.
Our annual donation request letter will be mailed soon. If you know of any potential donors to whom we could mail the letter, please let a Board member know. All of our productions are quite extensive so we need all the financial help we can get!
The Corey Bobb Memorial Showcase is scheduled for April 25. To date there are sixteen acts signed up including music, skits, dancing and even a color guard. Please mark your calendars to offer your support for this worthwhile event. We are hoping to raise enough money to fund an annual scholarship in memory of Corey.
The final figures for the “Best Christmas Pageant Ever” are not quite ready.
Finally, there is going to be a purely social event for all members of Community Players. The plan is to have a pot luck picnic at one of the shelters at Krouskop Park on June 12th at . It was also proposed that perhaps the members could then move on to the Outdoor Theater to take advantage of a movie after the picnic. Sounds like fun! Please contact a Board member with your thoughts on this.
