“The more you know, the more you know….”
Peter Pan is coming! Since we would like this to be a family event, there will be package prices for the tickets and a special incentive for all of us to sell tickets. For every ten tickets sold, the seller can get one free ticket. FAMILY packages will be available. The price of $30 will admit two adults and two children, $40 two adults and four children and $50 two adults and six children. The rigging crew for this event needs help in that some of the rigging crew will have to weigh at least 210 pounds and be able to lift. If you meet these requirements and would be willing to help then please contact either Andrew Sharp or Dave Turk. House crew is also needed to help with tickets and ushering chores so anyone who can help with that please contact Sharon Zales. This is a HUGE production so any volunteer help is greatly appreciated.
The potluck scheduled for June 12 has been rescheduled but the date needs to be confirmed so please keep an eye on the web site for the announcement.
We have a Costume Manager! Many thanks to Susan Calnin for her hard work in remodeling and doing an inventory of existing costumes! It was felt that someone needs to be responsible for the ongoing care and control of the costumes so President Bill Honer appointed Susan to that position. Also, we are in need of a volunteer as Props Manager. The duties will be to inventory, control and acquire props as needed for production. This person would also be responsible to be sure all props are returned at the end of a production. Please contact President Bill Honer if this sounds like an area in which you could help.
Starting with the next production, there will be a disclaimer statement on the bottom of the audition form which will basically state that the auditioner agrees to be bound by Community Players purposes.
Thank you to the family of Corey Bobb for their generous donation. It will be put to good use since there has been some discussion of items Community Players would like to consider purchasing. Any purchase, of course, will wait until after this production but we are still looking for the possibility of acquiring our own keyboard if anyone has any (inexpensive) ideas!
Thanks to Dave Turk for setting up the Community Players web site. This will be an excellent communication tool for all of us so please visit often.
If anyone would like to talk to Community Players about future productions, particularly if you would be interested in directing a production, please contact President Bill Honer .
